As a brand, if you have followed us for some time you would know that we at Sheepers love working with other small businesses. Towards the end of last year, we collaborated with one of our favourite brands, Lola and Blake whose prints we often use and feature in our photoshoots. We set out on a mission to create the ultimate winter themed design that would also co-ordinate with our beautiful Sheepskin Slippers. We left the designing aspect down to Kat, as her designs are absolutely terrific, the amount of questions we get off customers asking us where the cool printed pyjamas in our images are from is endless.
We wanted elements that represented Christmas and winter, so when Kat presented us with this beautiful hand illustrated design, we were absolutely ecstatic. It was beautiful. The light blue frosty background filled with polar bears, foxes, owls and the beautiful mother and child penguins. We wanted the design to focus on Christmas and winter, but yet convey a warm and cosy feeling and Kat managed to achieve exactly this.
So, we showed our gorale the design and hoped they would be able to achieve the ultimate winter themed slipper. We debated as a team what colour the sheepskin cuff around the design would be, and ultimately decided it had to be the colour you think of when you think of Christmas and winter, a beautifully crisp clean white. We wanted to make the range entirely available for children, women and men so that it could be purchased as a matching family set, as we noticed that these are a re-occurring theme in purchases at Christmas time. We also wanted to ensure that the quality of the pyjamas was next to none. Made with the finest luxury cotton with small finishes which we really believe add that extra touch, such as pearl buttons and a elasticated navy satin tie for the waist matching with blue piping around the design.
Once our delivery arrived, we launched our Winter Wonderland collection featuring babygrows, bibs, pyjamas, slippers and a washbag. The design was so popular, our Instagram DM’s completely blew up with hundreds of requests to make the design into a beautiful wrapping paper. This was something we had never done before, but we are always up for a challenge, and love fulfilling our customers wishes, especially at Christmas! We quickly spoke with Kath and arranged to have a large number of sheets delivered to us. They were a complete hit and we eventually sold out of the design meaning we had to completely re-think our gift-wrapping strategy, with only three weeks to Christmas to go! The Winter Wonderland Collection was doing so well, that we decided to launch four additional designs of wrapping paper, which too completely sold out. It made Christmas 2021 for us extra special, as it was even more personal than wrapping our beautiful gift boxes, we were sellotaping and hand tying satin ribbons of gifts that were going directly under our customers trees.
We have loved every minute of this collaboration and look forward to hopefully many more in the future.
